It gives us great pleasure to re-feature this series here for your enjoyment! The program was a collection of new and archived performances in public parks and spaces that celebrate Chicago’s finest artists and the spirit of public performance.
In addition to creating the digital “Your Night Out At Home” series, the Park District partnered with WTTW to launch “The Stars In Your Backyard,” a 5-week series presented on Friday afternoons throughout the summer of 2020. The summer of 2020 challenged the Chicago Park District, Night Out in the Parks, and local arts partners to present our diverse cultural tapestry in a new way.
Local audiences, as well as viewers across the nation and across the pond, are welcome to tune in through the end of the year, as we showcase Chicago’s finest artists here! Night Out partners offer performances, workshops, educational explorations and more – virtually leading us in activities our park patrons have come to love and expect throughout each season. Viewers can find a diverse array of established companies and emerging artists across many disciplines, inviting you to experience something new and keeping you connected to the rhythm of the city. “Your Night Out at Home” provides a chance to travel digitally and explore the incredible breadth of talent our city offers. The “Your Night Out At Home” series shines a virtual spotlight on our parks and artist partners, creating an even more intimate experience with Chicago’s performing arts community from the comfort of your home. Welcome to “Your Night Out at Home!” The ChicagoPark District is committed to presenting a variety of live events and virtual experiences to bring cultural programming to audiences wherever they feel most comfortable experiencing art - whether that’s in your own living room, outdoors in your neighborhood park, or even while out of town with family and friends.
